Anyang Nyongo and Kenneth Marende not vying for any position in Kenya largest Political Party

ODM Secretary General Anyang Nyongo and former speaker Kenneth Marende will not be vying for any position in the forthcoming ODM party election to be held early this month. The vocal Secretary General will instead pave way for youthful leaders to steer the party.
On his part Kenneth Marende who was expected to battle it out with Raila Odinga for the party chairmanship position opted to take some time off from active politics. Another party stalwart Gitubo Imanyara will not be contesting for any elective position but will remain an ODM member. The ODMS’S National Delegates Convention (NDC) will be held on 28th February and March 1st to elect the party’s office bearers. A total of 3,200 delegates are expected in the NDC at Kasarani Safaricom Stadium.
