Two women who had feasted on roasted dogs have been arrested at an internally displaced camp in Kakuma, Turkana County. Ms Akaran Aparo and Ekitoe Eregae aged 73 and 71 respectively were forced to make a meal of the puppies as a result of the prolonged hunger that has ravaged the area. The two oldies shared the meal with four children. Ms Aparo had gone to Kakuma town in search of relief food when she spotted the dog and her puppies. She proceeded to take the puppies so that her five grandchildren would atleast have a meal. She then invited Ms Ekitoe for the roasted meat. The area District Officer Samuel Osodo has for relief food to curtail such incidents.
