Rwanda government has moved to squash rumours alleging that the country President Paul Kagame is dead. It is reported that the Democratic Republic of Congo city of Goma was in a celebratory mood after news of Rwanda strongman ‘death’ spread in the town. Kagame is respected for steering his country to economic prosperity while his detractors view him as a despot whose word is law.
Kagame is alleged to have sponsored rebel groups who have reigned havoc in Goma region. The 56 year old Kagame was the leader of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) that routed the murderous forces that were behind the death of 800,000 mainly ethnic Tutsis.
