Here are three legislators from Luhya land who have found themselves in trouble with the Children's Court
Current Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula was last year brought before the Children Court to answers charges of neglect. The Court ordered him to pay Sh270,000 monthly for the upkeep of his child. The Bungoma Senator was also ordered to remit Sh120,000 yearly for the girls personal effect.
Fred Gumo: Former Westlands MP
Former Westlands MP Fred Gumo found himself in trouble last year after a woman sued him demanding a cool Sh150,000 monthly upkeep. The woman claimed that the firebrand politician dumped her after a 5 year affair upon discovering that she was pregnant with his child.
Kenneth Marende: Former National Assembly Speaker
Marende is the latest entrant in the league of politicians who hail from Luhyaland to be find themselves in trouble with baby mamas. The former National Assembly House Speaker has been ordered to sh475,000 towards the upkeep of his daughter Jennifer Nkouwa. The politician had an affair with the child's mother immediately she completed form four in 2008.
