A Briton who has been accused of killing his girlfriend will be cooling his heels in police custody for the next seven days as police carry out investigations. The suspect, Carl Singleton, appeared before Principal Magistrate Elenah Nderitu but was not required to enter a plea. Singleton assaulted Ashley Agumbi, a 22 year old Lower Kabete Campus student on November 19. She was admitted to hospital but later on succumbed to her injuries.
Ashley had reported the abuse meted on her by Singleton at Kahara police post before she passed on. The investigating officer has requested to be granted more time to file for a murder charge.
