The visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Machakos county brought the worse out of Ukambani political leaders who hailed praises on the Jubilee government and castigated their Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and CORD co-principal.
Led by the youthful Mavoko MP, Patrick Makau, the leaders vowed to work with the Jubilee government in what seemed to border on seeking favors from the President. Uhuru Kenyatta urged politicians to stop politicking and instead concentrate on the development agenda in Kenya. Machakos county governor, Alfred Mutua, has all along been seen to be leaning on the Jubilee government and has been branded a mole more than once.
CORD grip in Ukambani is wavering with many leaders perceived to be warming up to Jubilee.
