Five critically ill patients who were taken to Dr Owour crusade held at Kaptembwa Grounds in Nakuru to seek for miracle healing died. Nakuru Divisional Police Commander Bernard Kioko told a section of the media that sick people were taken to the crusade after news filtered that dozens of people had been healed after listening to the evangelist sermons.

The police commander further said that the patients were taken to the crusade against their doctor’s advice. Dr David Owour televised crusade saw medical experts attend the crusade to verify the evangelist healing powers. Owour was quoted as saying;
“These top doctors have come out and told us that that God has healed the terminally sick.”
Dr Catherine Wangui who is a lecturer at Egerton University, Comprehensive Care Clinic head Torome Kochei and HIV specialist and senior assistant director of Medical Services were among the experts paraded by Dr David Owour to verify the miracle healings.
