Deputy President Snubbed By William Kabogo & Moses Kuria…DP Men Furious

Trouble seems to be brewing in DP William Ruto backyard after back to back snubbing by legislators allied to the Jubilee coalition. The DP was in Thika Town constituency to commission a number of projects initiated by area MP Alice Nganga, a function that was skipped by the Governor William Kabogo.

The Kiambu Governor, who was accompanied by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, opted to preside over the official opening of Sh 167 million bus stage that will serve over 200 matatus. Those close to Ruto view the move as disrespect to the DP but the Governor has dismissed such talk.

“People should not read malice in my absence at the DP’s meeting. I would have wanted to join him, but could not fail to attend the Gatundu event which we had planned and postponed several times,” Kabogo said.

It is also an open secret that the area MP and William Kabogo don’t see eye to eye and that may have been the reason the governor opted out of the function.
The DP had earlier this month called Narok leaders for a meeting to try and resolve their differences. The leaders led by Emurwa Dikkir MP Johanna Ng’eno said that the issue at hand was too complex for the DP to handle.

He said at the time:
“This matter is too big for the Deputy President. We want the President to personally intervene, otherwise no one will listen to anyone else.”
This followed chaos that erupted in Narok that led to the arrest of Senator Stephen Ntutu, MPs Patrick Ntuntu, Moitalel Kenta, Johana Ngeno and Korei Lomein.
