Equity Bank CEO James Mwangi Groomed To Run For Presidency In 2022, Ruto Men Furious

The political landscape is bound to change if Equity Bank CEO James Mwangi goes for the presidency, a move that is causing jitters in URP. According to well placed sources, the CEO of Equity is being groomed by powerful individuals in central to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when his term comes to an end.

This is causing jitters among URP leaders who are said to be unhappy with the arrangements. According to an item that appeared on Corridors of Power, URP have raised concerns with the disinterest shown by their TNA counterparts in supporting Deputy President William Ruto in 2022. The URP MPs are said to be scheming on how to work with the opposition if things don’t change.

James Mwangi track record speaks volumes on his ability to steer the country into greater heights of prosperity. Equity bank has the largest customer base in Africa with an estimated 8 million account holders. If he decides to go for the top seat, the Kikuyu community will vote for him to the last man votes that the DP banked on to ascend to the presidency.
