The offer by Raila Odinga to testify at the Hague in favor of Deputy President William Ruto has been rubbished by two Jubilee legislators. Ruto’s associates had requested the former Prime Witness to be a witness of the DP since he was his a close lieutenant when the 2007/08 post election violence erupted.
Raila said that he was ready to testify if he was approached formally by Ruto or his aides. Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau and Murang’a women’s representative Sabina Chege however seem to be reading from a different script, accusing the former PM of being a political opportunist.
The two expressed their strong opinions while issuing Uwezo fund cheques at Kigumo town. Kamau was quoted by a section of the media saying:
“Raila is unpredictable and we cannot tell what his motive is, which is why we have to be careful when dealing with him.”
The duo called for the speedy establishment of the African court to deal with injustices committed in Africa.
Chege on her part rubbished Raila offer saying it will not be of any value.
