It is now emerging that Evans Kidero's wife, Susan Mboya, was married to a rich Ugandan man from 2008. The couple, according to the blog that first carried the story, met in Ohio, Cincinnati where Susan was working with Proctor and Gamble while her husband was involved in real estate.
Susan ex-husband reportedly got in trouble with the US federal authorities for evading tax and engaging in corrupt dealings. The story goes that Kidero, then the Mumias sugar CEO, was in US on official duties where he met Susan who was desperately in search of a man. She had changed jobs from P&G to Coca-Cola (US).
The two are said to have clicked fast given that they came from the same locality in South Nyanza. They married in 2011. Kidero has been in the news lately for squandering money belonging to Mumias Sugar and is said to have been making several trips abroad in private jets. Now Susan, who is daughter of the late trade unionist Tom Mboya, finds herself in the same dilemma-dealing with a husband who has been implicated in corruption.
