Kenya most watched TV stations are set to return on Thursday after being switched off by the Communication Authority. The three dominant TV stations will make a comeback as free to air channels on digital platform.
The CA had gone ahead to switch of the big 3 even after a Supreme Court had ordered the reinstatement of their digital broadcasting license.

The regulator was intent on having the three media houses put their content on either Signet, which is owned by the government, or a Chinese company known as Pang.
CA officials disabled analogue transmission equipment at their Limuru stations plunging to the country into a broadcasting blackout. The broadcaster withdrew their content from paid for digital platform in protest of the government move.
