Philip Moi To Pay Ex-Wife 90 million For Upkeep & Housing After Being Granted Divorce By High Court…

Son of retired President Daniel Arap Moi, Philip, is regretting the day he met and married Rosanna Pluda after he was ordered to pay Sh30 million and Sh60 for her maintenance and housing needs.

Philip will be required to find his e-wife a house in the leafy suburbs of Lavington, Runda, Karen or Kileleshwa or pay his Italian wife a sum of Sh60 million before 90 days lapse.

The High Court judge Luka Kimaru granted the divorce on grounds of cruelty and perjury.

Pluda wanted a monthly upkeep of Sh250,000 saying that the Sh60,000 she had been awarded by the High Court was not enough to cater for her maintenance. Her ex-husband challenged the ruling that had initially been made by Judge GBM Kariuki saying the amount was too high. Philip told the court that he was the one living with the children and could not afford to pay such an amount given that he is unemployed and relies on pension from the Department of Defence.

He told the court of Pluda..

"Pluda lives a life of fantasy, glamour and glitz, ostentation with a display of affluence fit for Hollywood and the legendary jet-setting lifestyle known worldwide for extravagance”.

He said he Pluda's "lavish lifestyle, which is not only extravagant but obscene, according to Kenyan standards”, had forced him to incur debt to maintain it.
