Breaking: Garissa University Attack Eight Confirmed Dead, 30 hospitalized

Eight people have been confirmed dead by the Kenya Red Cross in an attack by suspected Alshabab militants. Six gunmen attacked the university at around 5:30 am and engaged two police officers who were manning the institution. They was intelligence that the militants were planning to attack a major university.

The terrorists have been confined in one dorm where they are holding an unknown number of students. One student told a local media house how they managed to escape in a hail of bullets from the terrorists.

Kenya Red Cross is urging Garissa residents to donate blood.
