Nkaissery Now Extends Amnesty For Al Shabaab Terror Group To 14 More Days, Six Militants Have Already Surrendered In Mombasa…

Six Al Shabaab militants have already surrendered to the police prompting Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery to extend the 10 days amnesty to a further 14 days.

According to reports in a section of the media, the six confessed to crossing the border to Somalia for military training. The militants are said to have shared with the investigators very crucial intelligence on the terror network operation in the country.

The National Intelligence Service and the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit have been interrogating the returnees. More youths, according to Mombasa county commissioner Nelson Marwa, are willing to surrender and urged them to take advantage of the grace period.

Nkaissery asked those who had joined the dreaded terror group to report to the county commissioners in Nairobi, Mombasa and Garissa to take advantage of the government amnesty.
