Sonko In Trouble As Employees Of Sonko Rescue Team Down Tools Over Non Payment Of Allowances

The much hyped Sonko Rescue Team seems to be undergoing turbulent times after employees downed their tools in protests over non-payment of their dues. Sonko has been running the outfit-that has been described as a parallel government-that offers wedding services, ambulances, hearse and a host of other services for free.
Beleaguered youths who work for Sonko, led by Mr Swaleh Owino, accused the Nairobi Senator of not paying them. The youths deposited their overalls and a Toyota Premio at Makongeni Police Station where they asked the flamboyant senator to collect them.
Sustainability of Sonko Rescue Team services have always been in the tongue of many wondering how he can be able to pay for all those services. Recently it was reported in a local daily that he had been thrown out of his Runda house after failing to pay rent.

Sonko has come out to strongly deny the allegations saying that Mr. Owino is a trouble rouser who was sacked for among other things incitement and non-performance. He reads mischief from the Chairman who he believes is being used to tarnish his reputation in the next general elections.

Here is evidence of payment made to the Mr. Owino….
