Correction: Only Two KDF Soldiers Killed, 11 Al Shabaab Neutralized According To Military Spokesman

Military spokesman Col David Obonyo has claimed that only 2 KDF soldiers were killed by Al Shabaab militants who attacked a military camp at Baure in Lamu County. According to Col Obonyo, the military showed their might and managed to kill 11 al shabaab terrorists and inflicted serious injuries on several of them who fled to Boni forest in the 5 am incident. In our earlier post we had indicated that seven KDF had been killed. The KDF spokesman has stated that the number of those killed were only two soldiers.

This comes a year since the deadly Mpeketoni attack in Lamu that saw 48 mercilessly killed by the militants. The gallant KDF soldiers managed to recover assorted weapons that included 13 AK47s, 5 RPGs and 8 Grenades. The military has asked locals to report any suspicious characters in the area to security agencies.
