The US President was answering a question from a journalist who wanted to know his position on homosexuality vis-à-vis Kenya’s values and beliefs.
Obama stated that his position hasn’t changed and that Kenya should respect every Kenyan regardless of their sexual orientation.

On his part Uhuru said that homosexuality is a non-issue. He went on to say that the practice is not in tandem with Kenya values and should not be even discussed.
The sentiments by Uhuru was an indication that his administration would not allow the US to force unpopular beliefs in the country.
