The identity of 12 KDF soldiers captured by marauding Al Shabaab militants have been released, newsday24/7 reports.

According to newsday247, KDF soldiers are heard pleading with the Kenya government to withdraw their troops from Somalia.

The post from the news website read in part:

Official radio Al Andulus, the Al Shabaab militants group media has released audio interview with Kenyan soldiers captured during attack on an AMISOM military base in southern Somalia on Friday.

The soldiers spoke English, however no further reports were immediately available to confirm the veracity of al Shabaab claims.
