Governor Joho Nearly Punches A Scared ‘Sonko’ (See Photos)

Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko survived a beating from Mombasa governor Hassan Joho. The two have not been seeing Eye to eye after Sonko called Joho a Burukenge (monitor lizard) and punda milia (Zebra).

In his defense, Sonko said that he never meant to insult the governor and in any case the animals are found in Kenya (See separate story: Sonko Explains Why He Almost Slapped Hassan Joho Yesterday (See Details))

The two leaders nearly exchanged blows and it took the intervention of leaders who were presents to quell them down.
