List Of World Most Corrupt Countries Released, And Kenya Takes This Position (See Details)
Kenya continues to rank as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. According to Transparency International corruption perception, Kenya is rated at position 139.
This means that Kenya is more corrupt than Nigeria-ranked at position 136th.
Graft allegations, against top government officials, have continued to erode the fight against corruption in the country.
Last year, President Uhuru Kenyatta replaced his Cabinet Secretaries who had been implicated in corrupt dealings. Those fired included Charity Ngilu (Lands), Davis Chirchir (Energy), Kazungu Kambi (Labour), Michael Kamau (Transport) and Felix Koskei (Agriculture).
CS Anne Waiguru was also forced to step down after public outcry after she was implicated in the siphoning of sh790 million from her Devolution ministry.
