Popular mugithi artist Salim Junior cause of death has been revealed.
According to Kenyans.co.ke, the artist was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital in November with a serious case of chest infection.
His brother, Might Salim, went on to share how his brother, who resided in Kahawa West Estate in Nairobi, had to go to numerous clinics for treatment until two weeks ago when his health deteriorated.
This prompted his family to move him to their Subukia home in Nakuru County where he is said to have continued with his treatment.
Salim Junior was rushed to Nakuru Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning when his condition worsened. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The one man guitar maestro death left many in shock. News of his death spread far and wide with many sending messages of condolences.
Salim Junior, real names Paul Kamau, was an icon who will be remembered for remixing songs and making mugithi popular.
