Five senior Kenyans legislators will be flying to the neighbouring Uganda to campaign for President Yoweri Museveni.
The Deputy President William Ruto was in thecampaign trail of the long serving dictator and even endorsed him during a joint press conference at Sebei in Eastern Uganda.
Those who are expected to be part of the team that will drum up support for Museveni include senior URP politicians led by Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Deputy President William Ruto’s personal assistant Farouk Kibet.
According to Kenyans.co.ke, the team of five will be hosted at the State Lodge in Kapchorwa to strategize of how to make minced meat of the opposition before embarking on several rallies.
Murkomen is said to have downplayed the reports, claiming that he was not aware of such plans.
Kizza Besigye of FDC is the strongest opponent of President Yoweri Museveni but the bullish incumbent is widely expected to sail through with a comfortable margin.
Yoweri has enjoyed a cordial relationship with the Jubilee government.
