Sonko Holds Secret Talks With Raila With Plans To Ditch Jubilee
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is reportedly warming up to Cord coalition after being frustrated in the Jubilee administration.
According to Corridors of Power, the flamboyant senator allegedly met former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, in his Capital offices on February 12 where he shared his frustrations and wish to decamp to the Cord.
Sonko disbanded the Sonko Rescue team and vowed to work with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero after meeting Raila.
The senator recently exchanged bitter words that nearly ended in fisticuffs with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, after the latter accused President Uhuru of disrespecting him.
Sonko accused leaders from the coast region of blackmailing the Head of State and demanded that they show him respect. The altercation happened in the presence of Uhuru who was issuing title deeds to squatters.
The senator has not denied or confirmed the rumors that he will be joining the Cord coalition.
