Kwale Women Representative Ditches ODM For Jubilee

ODM has suffered a major blow after Kwale County Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga ditched the party, opting to work with Jubilee.

The women rep said that Jubilee has been supporting her where development is concerned in the county.

She went on to accuse Cord of showing lethargy in development matters. Chidzuga went on to say that Cord had turned down her efforts to conduct fundraisers for women saccos.

The ODM rebel said she will vie for 2017 elections using a JAP ticket. Addressing youths groups in Kwale Town, Chidzuga faulted the removal of Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro as the Coast Parliamentary Group Chair.

She was quoted by a section of the media as saying:

“There was no notice, it was a few individuals who sat somewhere and decided to do the elections without informing all members. We still recognize Mung’aro as the chairman of the Coast Parliamentary Group”

Other MPs from the region who are seen as Cord rebels include: Mung’aro (Kilifi North), Mustapha Iddi (Kilifi South) and Khatib Mwashetani (Lungalunga).
