Parastatal Car Found Ferrying 400 Ltrs Of Changaa After Accident-Photos

Police were shocked to discover a Kenya Urban Road Authority (KURA) involved in an accident along the Nairobi Nakuru highway was ferrying changaa.

The parastatal car, that rolled several times, was towed to Tigoni Police Station were investigations have been launched.

After the accident that happened on Saturday night, the driver and occupants in the car fled the scene. The Toyota Prado was ferrying over 400 litres of changaa, the area OCPD Mohammed Bakuli confirmed.

A huge snarl up was caused by the accident as the car landed in the middle of the road forcing traffic. Base commander Johnbosco Mulei led other traffic police officers to ease the congestion.

Witnesses said the driver was seemingly drunk and that they was a female occupant and a child in the car.
Investigation to the incident has been launched.
