Revealed: Paul Sang Of KANU Won Kericho By-Election By 126,000 over JAP 33,000

KANU officials have claimed that their candidate Paul Sang triumphed over JAP Aaron Cheruiyot by over 100,000 votes.

The ruling party Jubilee and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) colluded to deny Paul Sang his victory, the party chairman Gideon Moi said.

Paul Sang, if the claims are to be believed, thrashed Aaron Cheruiyot by 126,000 to 33,000 votes.

According to Nick Salat their independent data showed a totally different result from the one released by KANU.

The KANU National Secretary said:

“Our parallel data indicate that our candidate Paul Sang won by 126,000 votes against JAP Cheruiyot's 33,000 votes but we are not going to court because we don't have faith in the Judiciary,”

IEBC announced that JAP candidate Cheruiyot had won with 109,358 over Sang’s 56,397.

KANU chairman said that IEBC was under pressure to ensure JAP wins to save the DP face. Moi thanked the voters for their supports in the face of a stolen vote.
