CORD Calls Off Today’s March To IEBC Offices To Show Solidarity With Kibaki

The CORD coalition has called today’s anticipated match to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices following the death of former First Lady Lucy Kibaki.

Cord supporters, led by Raila Odinga, stormed the IEBC offices yesterday but were repulsed by anti-riot police. They vowed to continue with the protests until the commissioners leave office.

Raila had earlier said that the IEBC was working in tandem with the Jubilee government to ‘steal’ the 2017 presidential elections.

Lucy Kibaki died while undergoing treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

Kibaki worked with Raila in the Coalition government following the post election violence that engulfed the country.

Cord supporters in Kisumu were dispersed by anti-riot police after they attempted to storm the Kisumu IEBC offices.

Nonsense! Do not use Mama Lucy's death as an excuse. Just admit that you need time to recover after the cowardly retreat yesterday, following which most of Kenya realized that your campaign has nothing to do with freedom, peace or democracy, but is the same old ODM/Raila agitation.
