CORD leader Raila Odinga political fortunes in the Rift Valley region continue to dwindle after his long standing ally decamped to Jubilee.
Reverend Lawrence Bomet put a spirited fight in 2013 Nakuru gubernatorial seat on an ODM ticket but narrowly lost to Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.
Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has also stated that he won’t be defending his seat on an ODM ticket and instead opted to work with Jubilee.
The respected leader joined Jubilee in a well-planned ceremony that was presided by the Myoot Council of Elders that is led by Major (Rtd) John Seii.
Bomet said that he made the decision after consulting area leaders and his supporters. Political pundits argue that Bomet decision was informed by a desire of self-preservation.
