Besigye Sworn In As Uganda President


Uganda opposition chief Kizza Besigye has been sworn in as the President of Uganda in a colorful ceremony attended by his supporters.

The Forum for Democracy Change (FDC) leader has been a state guest on numerous occasions and the trend is not about to stop anytime soon if the stunt he pulled his anything to go by.

The defiant leader was swiftly arrested by police cutting short his acceptance speech. The Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago presided over the swearing in ceremony.

Besigye has claimed that he was rigged out after he won the elections by 52 percent. The incumbent was declared the winner after garnering 61 percent votes over Besigye 35 percent.

Museveni will be sworn in tomorrow as the President of Uganda. President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the inauguration.

Opposition leaders have claimed their supporters numbering 100 have been detained for participating in protests.

Yoweri Museveni repressive regime has come under heavy criticism on how it handles free expression. The once blue eyed of Africa has extended hus 30 year rule by another five year claiming that ‘Ugandans need him more than he needs them.’

It is alleged that Besigye was advised to make life impossible for Museveni by Cord leader Raila Odinga.
