His is the first death of a protestor since the demonstration started to kick out IEBC commissioner started in earnest three weeks ago.
Eye witnesses said that the protester was given a thorough beating by anti-riot police, reports the Star. He was rushed to Aga Khan hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Dr Sam Oula has, however, rubbished claims that the protestor died of bullet wounds.
Meanwhile Boni Khalalwe, who was leading anti-IEBC protests in Kakamega, has been arrested. The bull fighter is locked up at the Kakamega police station.
