The Monday anti-IEBC protests have started in earnest in some parts of the country even after police warned of dire consequences on anyone found participating in the demos.
Nairobi County commander Japheth Koome said that ‘lethal force’ will be used to counter the weekly IEBC protests. Speaking to the press, Koome called the protests illegal and said those who don’t have anything to do should sleep instead.
He went on to say that police had been deployed in strategic points to deal with the protestors accordingly.
Protests have been reported in some parts of the country including Jogoo road, Museum Hill underpass and Migori.
