I Want My Blinded Eye Back, Student Shot By Prison Warders Tells Uhuru

She harbored dreams of becoming an international model and probably play for the Kenyan volleyball national team until a prison warder bullet hit her left her.

This has left Form two Kwinda Amondi with shattered dreams. The Ulanda Girls student was participating in the secondary schools Lake Region term two games when a warder aiming for an escaped inmate accidentally shot her.

According to the family of Amondi, the government has not compensated the family or prosecuted the prison warder.

The family is raising funds to settle the girls bills at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet and Moi Teaching and Referal Hospital in Eldoret where she was transferred for specialized treatment.






The girl was quoted by a section of the media telling the President she wanted her eyesight back.
