Raila Should Be The President After He Did This To Us When We Were Detained, Moses Kuria Opens Up
Kuria had called for the assassination of Raila saying that Luo’s would protest for a week before calm returned in the country.
He later denied making such utterances but video footage proved otherwise. Raila showed statesmanship and asked for all the legislators who had been charged with hate speech including Moses Kuria to be released.
The Nairobian carried a piece detailing how Raila had assisted Kuria when he was suspended from the Nairobi University.
The former Prime Minister organized a team of lawyers led by the late Otieno Kajwang’ to defend Kuria.
President Uhuru Kenyatta instructed Jubilee legislators not to visit Moses Kuria, Ferdinand Waititu and Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri. According to Nairobi News, Uhuru did not want his administration associated with hate speech.
Although it would be political suicide to ditch Uhuru, it is said that Kuria favors Raila to be next President.
The detained MPs were released yesterday after spending three days behind bars.
