Robert Alai, Cyprian Nyakundi Considered For PSCU Jobs After Itumbi Downfall
The Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) has been disbanded after numerous complaints of poor communication strategies and infighting in the powerful office.
According to well placed sources, Dennis Itumbi, Munyori Buku, Emmanuel Talam and Munira Muhammad were underperformers who only managed to portray the Presidency in bad light.
Their fate was a done deal and it was only a matter of time before the announcement was to be made. Itumbi had been a fierce defender of President Uhuru but his over-enthusiasm surpassed sober logic and argument in defense of his boss.
The only survivor in the purge was Manoah Esipisu after the unit was disbanded by the Deputy chief of Staff Nzioka Waita.
Joke allegedly doing rounds in State House is that Robert Alai and Cyprian Nyakundi would have done a better job in advancing the image of President Uhuru.
Alai, a key Raila Odinga lieutenant, has however come to the defense of Itumbi questioning the logic of throwing him out of office in such a manner. The outspoken Itumbi was working with the famed 36 bloggers whose fate is yet to be known.
The PSCU team was locked out of State House and told to wait for the return of President Uhuru from his Botswana tour.
