Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko
Flamboyant Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko is more than ready to join CORD if Raila Odinga is not the torchbearer in the forthcoming general elections.
Sonko said that he would only part with Jubilee if Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka runs for the presidency under Cord in 2017.
He went on to say that his decision to be in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s camp was informed by Kalonzo’s decision to support Raila Odinga in the last general elections.
“Lakini mimi ningependa kusema hivi mkitaka nirudi nyumbani, Kalonzo akuwe flag bearer wa CORD
If you want me to return home, Kalonzo must be the Cord flagbearer.
He said that Raila time has expired and the large number of supporters turning for his rallies should not be misconstrued to mean votes.
Sonko has found himself between a rock and a hard place in his bid to run for the Nairobi gubernatorial position after former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth joined the race.
The Nairobi Senator has called Peter Kenneth a traitor who was behind President Uhuru woes at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
