Furious Uhuru Slams DP Ruto And Tells Him To Retract His Support For Eugene

President Uhuru Kenyatta has told off his Cabinet Secretaries who are engaging in politics.

This follows the endorsement of Water CS Eugene Wamalwa as the best Nairobi Governor candidate in the next polls by none other than the Deputy President William Ruto and other top Jubilee legislators.

Uhuru is furious with the trajectory his CSs are taking and vented his anger during special Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, reports Corridors of Power.

“I am hearing that some of you have started saying how you are going to run for office. Please listen to me well, if you want to run, table your resignation after this meeting. I expect you to deliver on the work that I gave you and not to start politicking,”
The President was quoted as saying.

Ruto was not spared the wrath of the President who felt that he was spoiling for a fight with the other aspirants. The DP moved quickly to disown statements he had made early that the Water CS is fit to be the Nairobi Governor.

He said that President and himself are not going to endorse any candidate for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.

A section of TNA are unhappy with the DP for endorsing Wamalwa. The legislators, led by Starehe’s Maina Kamanda, John Njoroge (Kasarani), James Gakuya (Embakasi), Benson Mutura (Makadara)and Nairobi Women's Rep Rachel Shebesh are backing Dagoretti North MP Dennis Waweru for the Nairobi Governor's seat.
