A photo of Cord co-principal Moses Wetang’ula waving at a non-existent crowd in Kakamega town, while perched atop his vehicle, is making heavy rotation on social media.
The Ford Kenya leader, who donned the party colors, had about five people escorting him.
Wetang’ula, according to the Star, was on his way to one of his rallies in Navakholo, Kakamega county to popularize his party. The crowd is a stark contrast to the numbers ODM leader Raila Odinga pulls in the region.
The Ford Kenya leader is on record telling Raila Odinga to keep of Western Kenya since that is his political bastion.
The photo has drawn criticism from Kenyans who feel that Wetang’ula is no march for Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming general elections if he is the torchbearer of Cord.
