It’s no secret that the once powerful ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba is a spent cartridge.
The outspoken Budalangi MP had envisaged forming Mulembe Consciousness movement that would unite all the Luhya community with the support of key leaders from the region.
Together with Funyula MP Paul Otuoma-who acted as the ODM national vice chairman-they left the party in a huff. It did not take long before Otuoma rejoined ODM leaving the pompous Budalangi MP on his own devices.
A section of the media went on to report that Ababu was facing financial woes and could not even conduct a membership recruitment drive for his new political vehicle-the Labour Party of Kenya.
Just before he could start feeling comfortable in his new political home, the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal stopped him from transacting any business on behalf of LPK after a successful application of Mr John Barasa Makokha.
Ababu cannot transact any business on behalf of LPK following a successful application by Mr John Barasa Makokha.
The MP’s wife has acknowledged the storm her husband is facing and vowed not to abandon him. Prisca Mwaro Ababu, through a post on facebook, passionately appealed to her husband to remain strong and live to his ideals.
The Labour Party of Kenya leader found himself between a rock and a hard place when he accidently stated that he was a member of the newly formed Jubilee Party. Ababu was giving a speech at the Glory Worship Centre in Bangladesh, Mombasa when he said ‘we in Jubilee’ instead of Labour Party. He was forced to speed off from the venue when angry youths heckled him as he tried to address them outside the church.
The two-who never shy away from showing public display of affection-have the tag of the most romantic couple.
Here is the message:
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life ...think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success. You've got dreams dear... just go ahead and pursue them. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can and voila!!!... you will succeed...the key to failure is trying to please everyone.
