Mandago wants Prof Ayiro out of office

Elections bring out the dark side of Kenyan politicians and the general populace. The forthcoming 2017 general elections will not be any different if the vitriol emanating from our leaders is anything to go by. Politicians are now fanning tribalism to endear themselves to their supporters.

Jackson Mandago-Uasin Gishu Governor

The Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has proved to be what everything the Jubilee party doesn’t want to be associated with-a tribal lord. He led legislators and locals from the region to call for the ouster of the newly appointed acting Moi University VC Prof Laban Ayiro. The Governor was quoted as saying that Prof Kosgey, who is from the region, is best placed to be the VC and not an outsider. He said: "The Moi University VC must be Prof Kosgey, he topped the list and for us to demand for the best candidate to take up that position does not mean we are tribalists"
