The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) will be dissolved ahead of the 2017 general elections and join the National Super Alliance (NASA), ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed.
Mudavadi, who has dismissed any suggestion of joining the Jubilee Party, said that the only way to dislodge Uhuru from power is by forming a super alliance.
This comes at the backdrop of infighting between the Cord principals and their supporters on who to be the presidential flagbearer.
The entry of Mudavadi will further complicate matters for Wetangula given that he commands a strong following in Western region.
If the Super Alliance becomes a reality, Jubilee Party will suffer a major blow in Western region.
Other parties that will be absorbed into the Super Alliance is KANU led by Gideon Moi. Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba finds himself between a rock and a hard place given that is new political outfit-Labour Party of Kenya-must join either the Super Alliance or Jubilee Party to remain relevant.
