President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka
Interesting times beckon following reports that Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has accepted an offer from the Jubilee led government to be the Foreign Affairs cabinet secretary.
The sea,t that is currently held by Amina Mohammed, may fall vacant if she’s elected chairperson of the African Union commission.
The Wiper leader, during a well attended rally at Tononoka grounds in Mombasa, made it clear that he will not play second fiddle to Raila Odinga or Moses Wetangula. The Cord principals have been reading from different script begging the questions if the centre will hold ahead of the 2017 general elections.
A meeting with former TNA secretary general Onyango Oloo sparked rumors that indeed Kalonzo was on his way to the newly formed Jubilee Party.
Oloo, however, denied that their meeting was political in nature. He was quoted by a section of the media as saying:
“We were all celebrating after finalising our exams on 17th September at Park Place Hotel in Nairobi”
Makueni Governor on record urging Kalonzo Musyoka to negotiate with the Jubilee government.
