President Yoweri Museveni
He came to power under the pretext of cultivating the seeds of democracy. Uganda breathed a sigh of relief when a young seemingly progressive President Yoweri Museveni took the realms of power after years of misrule from his predecessors. Yoweri has morphed to become one of Africa worst dictators. He was reelected for a record fifth term. Museveni iron grip on power has seen him clamp hard on the opposition with Kizza Besigye being his number one victim. The powerful President has awarded his family members influential positions in his government. Museveni has been a strong critical of ICC terming the court as ‘useless’.
