The Standard Gauge Railways (SGR) has been hailed as a revolutionary mode of transport in the country thanks to its speed, comfort and safety.
It is however emerging that Chinese are taking all the jobs in the Jubilee flagship project. Just this week, Business Daily reported that 400 chinese workers had been handed 10 year contracts by the China Road and Bridge Cooperation (CRBC) to continue operating the Madaraka Express passenger and cargo trains.
Kenyans are unhappy given that the Chinese are taking even menial jobs that can be done by locals.
