Supporters of the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga have been engaging police in running battles following the announcement of Uhuru Kenyatta as the President of IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati.
The first responsibility of every Government is to protect its citizens. These people are not terrorists to deserve this. Stop the killings pic.twitter.com/0mWw58FFZG

A boda boda rider was killed during the protests on Siaya-Kisumu road. Five protestors were rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital with bullet wounds. Kibera, Mathare and Kisumu have been affected by the ongoing protests.
Raila Odinga is yet to issue a statement after Uhuru was announced President. The NASA top leadership has not indicated their next move but confirmed they would not be going to the Supreme Court to challenge Uhuru presidency.
Acting Interior Security CS Fred Matiang’i has absolved police officers from any wrongdoing saying the people involved in the protests are looters.
“People who are breaking into shops & looting are not peaceful protestors by any stretch of the imagination,” CS Fred Matiang’I said as he justified the action of the police.
