The arrival of the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders at the Bomas of Kenya has nothing to do with conceding defeat, ODM communication chief Philip Etale has revealed.
NASA arrived at Bomas led by Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka creating excitement of a possible easing of tension pervading in the country.
Mr Etale, through a tweet, said the leaders are there to ensure “Fraudulent results won’t be announced”.
His tweet read in full:
Fraudulent results won’t be ANNOUNCED. IEBC must ensure correct results are announced. That is why we are at BOMAS.
Provisional results released by IEBC show President Uhuru Kenyatta leading by 8,000,436 votes (54.3%) against Raila’s 6,601,770.
Nasa released their own results that showed Raila leading and demanded IEBC to announce him President.
International lauded the IEBC for delivering a fair and credible election.
