Jubilee supporters ferried from Bungoma county to attend President Uhuru Kenyatta’s swearing in ceremony are stranded in Nairobi after Speaker of the Senate Ken Lusaka went missing, reports Kahawatungu.
According to the blog, the hired supporters had been paid Kes 1,600 each to cater for their meals and fare back home.
The amount was not enough for their transport back to western prompting their leaders to reach out to Lusaka and Water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa for assistance.
Neither Lusaka nor Eugene replied to their calls or answered to the numerous text messages from the stranded supporters.
The crowd reportedly slept in the cold with no money to buy food.
President Uhuru Kenyatta took the oath of office yesterday in an event attended by only African Heads of State.
