Deposed former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe 36 year iron fist rule of Zimbabwe has come to an unceremonious halt. The coup staged by the military was swift with no casualties reported. The 93 year old and his wife, Grace, have been detained by the military. Also arrested are key figures in Mugabe’s cabinet.
Mugabe’s sons have not been spared the ignominy of seeing their all powerful dad and arrogant mom looking defeated in the hands of the military he gave orders. Chatunga Bellarmine-who less than two weeks ago bragged on a snapchat video that his ‘daddy runs the country’- and his elder brother Robert Mugabe Jr have been the subject of criticism for their lavish lifestyle amidst the poverty that continues to bite the once thriving country.
Here is just a sneak of peek of two brothers opulence:
Robert Mugabe Jr filmed himself pouring a £200 bottle of Armand de Brignac Ace Of Spades gold champagne on his £45k diamond encrusted watch. His younger brother brags that he can buy the luxury jewellery store because his father ‘runs the country’. The brothers are in the company of half dressed girls.
According to Zimbabwean Independent, 25-year-old Robert Mugabe Jnr and Chatunga, 21, never took their studies seriously. Chatunga was expelled from the prestigious St George’s College in Harare for ‘bad behavior’. He was home schooled from age 16 but went on to fail his A-level exam.
His elder sibling did not fare any better on his studies. ZimNews reports that Robert Jr was failing in his exams and was not able to progress to higher grade levels. He went on to study architecture in Dubai.
During his stay in Dubai, Robert Jr rented a 10-bedroom villa at $42 000 (Kes 4.2 million) per month.
Their stay in South Africa was punctuated with controversy after controversy. The Mugabe duo were kicked out of the R 70,000 (Kes 700,000) Regent apartment hotel in Morningside Sandton because of their unruly behavior.
“The boys were usually up during the night partying with different ladies, drinking and smoking,” a resident told Huffpost SA.
Robert Jr is a student at the University of Johannesburg, although he rarely attends classes but frequents nightclubs.
Their half brother, Russel Goreraza, is not any different from his siblings. The 33 year old has a taste for the good things, a trait probably from her mother who has come to earn the moniker of Gucci Grace.
He reportedly imported two rolls Royce limousines worth £4million into the country causing a public
