Controversial economist David Ndii has been arrested by CID officers at Leopard Beach Hotel in Kwale.
According to Rippoff Kenya, Ndii was arrested over his association with the People’s Assembly. The straight shooting economist was named as the head of the People’s Assembly National Steering Committee.
Other members of the committee are Judy Sijeny, Hamida Kibwana, Dr Mutakha Kangu, Oduor Ong’wen, Koitamet ole Kina and former East African Legislative Assembly MP Peter Mathuki.
The People’s Assembly was crafted days after Uhuru Kenyatta win was validated by the Supreme Court after NASA leader Raila Odinga skipped the presidential repeat poll.
Ndii has been calling for secession, talk which has garnered traction in opposition strongholds.
