The United States has termed NASA decision to call off Raila Odinga swearing in as a ‘positive step’.
In a post on social media, the US through Ambassador Bob Godec called for “sustained, open, and transparent national conversation involving all Kenyans”.
NASA announced yesterday that they had shelved plans to swear in Raila eliciting angry reactions from the coalition supporters.

The Opposition coalition has insisted the ceremony was not cancelled but only postponed. It is believed pressure from the diplomat played a role in the cancellation of the event.
